Background & Rationale:
Demand for high-quality, standards-certified agricultural products continues to grow among Ohkajhu's customers. In line with Thailand's "Kitchen of the World" strategy, Ohkajhu, as a healthy restaurant brand, is committed to promoting and developing farmers' knowledge, skills, and expertise so they can produce safe, high-quality agricultural products that meet recognized organic standards and satisfy consumer expectations.
Today, consumers place increasing importance on purchasing safe, certified agricultural products. However, many farmers who wish to adopt organic farming practices still lack the knowledge, skills, and technical expertise required to comply with organic agriculture standards. In addition, the requirements of organic certification are detailed and complex, making proper planning and implementation essential.
To address these challenges, Ohkajhu established this organic agriculture project based on the needs of farmers in participating communities. The project supports existing farmers by strengthening their knowledge in areas where additional guidance is needed, while preparing new farmers to transition into the organic farming system. Through this initiative, more farmers can produce high-quality agricultural products that meet organic standards, while promoting a sustainable agricultural production system that is environmentally friendly.
Objectives:
- To develop knowledge and skills in organic farming.
- To promote agricultural production in compliance with organic standards.
- To increase the number of farmers practicing organic agriculture.
