Background & Rationale:
Flooding during the rainy season, drought during the dry season, and climate change have caused significant damage to people’s lives and property, with increasing severity over time. Deforestation, watershed degradation, and improper land use are major causes of ecosystem deterioration. Therefore, restoring watershed forests to improve biodiversity and ecological balance is essential. One effective method is the construction of check dams, following the Royal Initiative for forest restoration and sustainable natural resource management.
Objectives:
- To encourage employee participation in environmental and natural resource conservation
- To cultivate environmental awareness and teamwork among employees
- To conserve natural resources and the environment within local communities
- To preserve wildlife habitats and food sources
