Organic Agricultural Product Development Program

The Company entered into a collaboration agreement with Chiang Mai University to develop and elevate “Khao Kam Jao” (purple rice) into an organic agricultural product. This local rice variety, known for its high nutritional value, has been developed through crossbreeding between indigenous strains and standard rice varieties. It also has potential health benefits, including reducing risks associated with gastric cancer and heart disease. The production process emphasizes reduced chemical usage and promotes natural farming practices.

The project is overseen by the management, with the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) team, in collaboration with the Farm Department, Quality Control (QC), and Product Development (IDE) teams, serving as the primary responsible units for implementation.

  1. Establish at least 100 rai of organic rice cultivation area
  2. Engage at least 20 participating farmers
  3. Reduce chemical usage by at least 80%
  4. Develop at least 2 new products
